NATCHEZ

This test was unfortunately postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is rising research showing the stress and anxiety reducing effects of dogs, and Natchez is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the clients of Connection Counseling however she can.
When Natchez is not training, she enjoys long walks, belly rubs, and playing with her family. Natchez’ favorite thing to do is going for a swim and she will do absolutely anything for a treat. How do you think we trained her so well?

HOLLY PALMER
Licensed Professional Counselor
Holly Palmer is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). Holly has worked with hundreds of clients in various settings to promote real change and healing by striving to provide a safe environment where they feel seen, valued and heard. She believes in catering to the needs of each individual, couple, or family that comes through the door. Holly finds it a personal privilege to walk through the messiness on this side of Heaven with her clients and to see the Lord work healing in their lives. It is her hope that for at least one hour each week, you can come, sip on some coffee or tea and not feel like you have to fix everything on your own.
Holly has a particular interest and heart for families. As a child of divorce herself, she knows the struggles of that brokenness firsthand. She utilizes her specialized marriage training from John and Julie Gottman (Level 1 Certified) to help couples decrease reactivity, understand their relationship patterns, and move toward attunement. The marriage is the foundation for the emotional thermostat at home, and she works to improve functioning within the family unit. Holly is also currently completing her training in the evidenced based practice of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR therapy has been proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
Holly has been married to her husband Blake for almost ten years and they have four children— two sweet girls and two active boys. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, exercising, cooking healthy meals, and spending time with her family.
